An additional two individuals have been arrested in connection with a robbery at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals sustained injuries by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.
A 24-year-old man, was arrested in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.
The arrests come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a car park lift.
A three-year-old girl was among the injured in the event. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later released.
Officers arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of theft and assault close to the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.
Police were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of individuals hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be an irritant spray.
The attack - which police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as terrorism - caused train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
